Lancaster Fellwalkers and The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) place obligations upon all organisations holding personal data.
In order to function, Lancaster Fellwalkers (the ‘club’) needs to gather, store and use certain forms of information about individuals. The club is required to ensure that Members have actively opted in to receive communications from us, understand what personal data we may hold on them, how their data will be used and stored and understand that they have the right to opt out of communication and have their data deleted and/or sent to them on request.
The club has created a policy which explains how this data should be collected, stored and used in order to meet Lancaster Fellwalkers’ data protection standards and comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
Our data consent form is available to download here and a paper copy can be requested from the Club Treasurer. Our policy asks all members for consent by indicating in the table below.
